Sound Quality Requirements
All DJs must use a proper stereo mix with clear, reliable audio. If your sound quality is distorted or unstable, please make adjustments before beginning your 3‑track set or 15‑minute rotation. Refer to the Sound Setup page for guidance on achieving optimal audio.
Be Prepared for Your Turn
When your name is called, be ready to begin immediately. Delays disrupt the flow of the room. Please remain attentive and prepared to start your set when it is your time to spin.
Microphone Conduct
Microphone use should contribute positively to the room’s atmosphere. Keep commentary light, friendly, and engaging. Complaints, negativity, or unnecessary disruptions are not appropriate during mic time.
Respectful Communication
Negative remarks about other room members, other rooms, or admins are not permitted in text or on mic. Maintain professionalism and adhere to the room’s Code of Conduct at all times.
Adjusting to Room Activity
During high‑traffic periods, DJs may be limited to fewer songs to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate. Please monitor room text and follow any updated instructions from admins. Alternately, Doowop spinners get 4 songs, as the songs are shorter duration.
Queue Etiquette
We prefer you not re‑queue while your microphone audio is still active in the room. This helps maintain an orderly rotation, especially during busy times.
